This is the day most first visitors should keep. The places sit on the same northward roads from Bhuj. You can see the White Rann without treating Hodka or Nirona as optional extras you will “do if there is time”.
Places that share the day
Great Rann / White Rann — Dhordo
Famous for the white salt desert, winter sunsets and Rann Utsav. Stay for late light. Allow 3–4 hours including the last stretch and photographs.
Hodka
Famous for bhunga houses, village crafts and a quieter picture of Kutchi life than the festival ground. One to two hours is enough if you are also going to the Rann. Hodka notes
Nirona
Famous for Rogan art, copper bells and lacquer work. Visit a workshop, watch a demonstration, and leave without turning the day into a shopping circuit. About 40 km from Bhuj; 1–1.5 hours on site. Rogan is one of the worth knowing most first visits drive past.
Bhirandiyara
Famous for Maavo. Treat it as a food stop, not a third village tour. Thirty to forty-five minutes.
How to order the day
Start with Nirona or Hodka in the cooler morning. Keep the White Rann for afternoon and sunset. Bhirandiyara sits naturally on the road. Do not add Kala Dungar or Mandvi to this day.
